Hay un cierto tipo de ‘outfit’ que cuando lo piensas dices: ‘es perfecto’. Pero, después cuando te lo pones y te ves en el espejo: dudas...Pero como no tienes tiempo para cambiarte, te lo dejas...y cada segundo, cada minuto, cada hora; no sólo dudas: lo odias más. ¿Les ha pasado?... Me paso con la ropa de hoy. Bleh!
Alexandra: Flapper meets Grampa
Yesterday it was almost 80 degrees in Normal. Naturally, I set out a perfectly lovely spring outfit full of bright colors and fun designs to wear today. Yet, as that jerk Murphy would have it, today it was 40 degrees, overcast and windy.
I have always loved this dress that my mother bought for me without it being any special occasion (aren't moms great sometimes?), because when paired with the long pearl necklace it looks like something that could have been worn by flappers in the '20s. Add to it the incomparably comfortable grandpa sweater and I begrudgingly faced another grey Illinois day.
Maybe tomorrow Mr. Blue Sky will come back and my lovely spring outfit will have a chance to shine.
